Everybody and their Spiritual teacher or guide is trying to get rid of their ego and are constantly accusing each other of having a big ego…so much hassle over nothing! (FROM SHUT UP! WHY CAN’T I GET RID OF MY EGO?
Darlings, you don’t have an ego. Who told
you that you had an ego? What you have is a
case of the blues. You imagine you have an ego,
and in the name of that fantasy, you cause your-
self all kinds of havoc. You imagine all kinds of
transgressions in the name of your imaginary
ego, and then you hold everyone else responsible
for their miserable egos too. What an egotistical
life you’ve structured!
The ego you’ve manufactured is just
another one of your games to keep yourself
interested in life. What would you do without an
ego to keep you occupied?
It’s your preoccupation with your ego that
keeps you busy and challenged, as you search
out different ways to get rid of it. Think of all the
time and money you’ve spent on self-develop-
ment classes, just so you can keep your ego in
check. And notice how unhappy and desperate
you get when your “ego” has sabotaged your life,
especially when you’re finally getting somewhere
on this spiritual path.
My dear, it’s ridiculous how much
attention you give to this “idea” called an ego.
It’s another one of those illusions that keep you
bound in hope and worry. You hope you’ll be
able to conquer it, and you’re worried you never
will. It’s quite a loop you’ve gotten yourself in.
So, my darling, here comes more good
news. You can drop all that useless worry about
your ego and live life as if you’ve conquered it.
You can be the master of your ego. How does
that make you feel–happy?
I want you to shout out loud at this
moment that you’re free of your ego. As a matter
of fact, I’d like you to announce to the world that
you’re madly in love with your ego. Tell them
your ego is now your very best friend and you
don’t know how you ever thought of living
without it.
Design a big Kali statue ego of yourself,
with gorgeous exotic flower leis around your
neck, and buy an exquisite silk sari to wrap
about your beautiful body. You now have a
stunning ego you can truly worship and adore,
just like the holy statues in the Vedic Temples.
You see, once you finally get over your
baseless fear of your ego, you’re finally free to
laugh and enjoy your life. You’ll probably start
boasting and telling everyone how wonderful,
intelligent and beautiful you are. Everyone will
begin to marvel at your huge, gorgeous, over-
the-top ego.
My darlings, what a trip you are, such a
precious, adorable trip. Why would you ever
want to get rid of your ego–such a huge, shim-
mering in-your-face ego? Have fun with it now.
Kiss and embrace your ego. Let it play with the
other glorious egos in your DREAM universe.
