I wish teachers/gurus would
STOP talking about ego as if it’s something to get rid of.
It is so ridiculous! The ego is your life happening.
No ego no life. It’s essential to experiencing. The
ignorance about the ego is overwhelming today.
My suggestion is: Get a statue, put your face on it,
dress it up w/gold & silver & scream out to the world
“Look at my ego!!! Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL!”
Now relax w/all this Ego BSh#@!

Unfortunately the word ego itself causes huge palpatations in the spiritual masses. And of course I have the biggest EGO in California and I’m always making noise like a spoiled brat, especially when I’m not getting besos from you.
We need to stop focusing on the ego altogether and just talk about this SIMPLE, SIMPLE, SIMPLE AWARENESS that is OUR nature and then EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FALL INTO PLACE. Capish?
Focus on the WHOLE-That’s all that’s needed. Not another 2 hour video or book on trying to get rid of the ego. I don’t care which famous holy/guru/roller is giving it. A complete waste of satsang. Don’t even get me started on this ego absurdness, makes me want to walk away from this spiritual stupidity forever, as people meditate in circles for another million lifetimes, following anybody in saffron or white robes who hums OM.
Drop the ego conversations and go have FUN (from the inside out!) You are not your ego, YOU ARE EVERYTHING.
My first AOL course question was – why do we make ego a layer – giving it reality? when all religions and cultures talk about destroy the ego !!
years!! later – i had my answer from Swami Pragyapad, and realized that yes, be one with all, yet you do need your ego (your separateness) to protect yourself, experience life etc etc.
The day i understood that – life was easy.
“be like a glasshouse, all light comes through and there is no difference between you and outside you, you see and experience everything as is, without distortion, yet the glass walls protect you from the outside elements that may harm. Your ego should be like that – absolutely clear glass wall.”
