ASK Dvorahji: I Don't feel connected to my Guru anymore…

Dear Dvorahji: I read your books, I love what you say, and there were times I could feel what you said. At the moment I’m totally lost, unconnected. I feel that its not God/GURU being bad to me, but it’s ME who has let HIM go. I want to feel close again.*****
Darling: Love is your nature. The God/Guru is your Nature…just because you don’t feel grounded/connected to HIM doesn’t mean The Guru/love isn’t there. Think about it? The shine is shinning whether you’re outside or inside the house. IT JUST SHINES, RIGHT. You don’t have to feel connected to it for the SUN to shine.
Relax with all these ideas of “what should be Happening to you”. Remember ‘If it could happen differently, It Would Happen differently! Ok? Just live your life however it shows up, without all these expectation of what your life “should” look like.
I’ve never said you have to feel connected to HIM. And WHO cares what the Guru does or not. He does his thing and you do your thing and sometimes you both do his thing and everybody’s happy. HIM/Guru is a noun – IT IS. It’s not a verb, something you feel or think! Relax and have fun LIVING, thinking, feeling, acting exactly as you do…Just RELAX…..happy New Year Honey…

Gosh, just the answer to my own feeling! I feel guilty that I want to be alone, reading, doing my sadhana and puja alone these days- partly because I have major responsibilities at home/office; partly because my own nature isn’t too group-oriented. I get chided by my local Art of Living teacher for not coming to the local happeniings, but I seem … See More

The most important thing in your life is to save your psychology, to save your smile, to save your balance. Meditate, sing, dance serve, do your program anywhere, anytime. It’s nice to go to group kriyas and affairs – But that’s NOT an order, it’s a offer, an invitation, like someone asking you to come to dinner.

Things change in your life, service is service is service – It doesn’t have a label on it. Help where you can, do what you can, go to AOL happenings when you can, and if you can’t? SO WHAT? You’re not supposed to feel guilty, you’re supposed to feel Happy with whatever your doing.

Getting chided is ok, maybe they miss your energy and miss you…but if someone pulls a guilt trip on you, then just say…Hey I’m happy! I do my program, I serve whenever I can. According to Sri Sri I’m perfect, don’t you think so? I belong to you…not an AOL calendar.

ANOTHER THING IS WE HAVE HAIR ON OUR HEAD BUT DO WE FEEL IT EVERYTIME???NOOO!!!BUT IT IS THERE…SO THE CONNECTION AND GRACE IS THERE.WE FEEL OUR HAIR WHEN SOMEONE PLUCKS ….A SINGLE STRAND IS ENOUGH TO FEEL IT…THE ENTIRE BODY EXPERIENCES IT!!

It`s one reason I moved out here in the sticks…..to be in nature and a quiet place where I know what`s right for me. It`s worked very well so far. No, I`m not a hermit, maybe a faux Thoreau
