WHAT'S MY DHARMA?

People are always asking, “What is my Dharma? God

what shall I do with my life? Guide me, talk to me, tell

me what to do?”…Open your eyes look around! What

you’re doing IS YOUR DHARMA or you wouldn’t be

doing it? You want to be a great singer, but right now

you’re working at Taco Bell? Well, right now your dharma

is Taco Bell! RELAX, BE PATIENT with your life AS IT

 SHOWS UP and changes!

yes, yes, yes! IDEAS and THOUGHTS about “my purpose/dharma” may come wrapped in great positive energy or great negative energy. so i just enjoy the dance of energies – that’s the best i can do. with time i learn to stay right at IT while the energies dance around me – and IT is my dharma, shapeshifting in every step of the dance, right in front of my nose…! IT has always been IT, now it’s so easy to see & be. 🙂

took me forever to crack this nut 🙂 – a major one for many, as you say…

What i say may seem irrelevant but since the talk is on Dharma, I cannot resist to put this beautiful saying on Dharma by Bhagwan Mahavira etched on my mind since childhood. “That the Evil Man is Rich and the Righteous Man Poor, is not the fault of Dharma. The Fruits of Dharma relate only to the soul”.

let me put that in perspective…”What’s yours, will always be yours. What is not yours will never be yours”. That’s why we are not feverish/upset about not having the Dharma we “think” we should have. We are exactly where we are at all times.

I remember walking down on Santa Monica Blvd. 30 yrs. ago in Hollywood thinking: “look at me, here I am no money, two young children, part-time teacher, a nobody, but that’s ok, cause I’m a potential Buddha…and that simple thought always kept me hopeful…WHO cares about being “somebody” having money, or being successful, when you’r
e a budding Buddha…

Life is so Challenging, always wondering why this or that is happening to you…it’s hard to find enough “reasons” to console yourself because everything keeps changing and many times for the worse before it gets better.

I remember having to make some important decision & my mind was racing, driving me crazy…& I remember thinking/pleading: Where are you? Where are you in this mess” I know you’re there, I know it”! And then, this incredible Peace was suddenly there and I could relax. My decision didn’t matter anymore.

In our life we come in contact with this PEACE many times. BUT every time we think it has left us. We don’t realize, IT IS OUR NATURE. It’s HERE all the time, whether you feel it or not. Just having this knowledge can give great security in this every-changing life.

I’m here to bring you the good news…Relax, you are always safe.

That’s a very nice story.
I too went in circles. I too wondered. Ibtoo was faced with what I thought were difficult decisions. And I somehow felt my way into a new life. I left behind my only home and was raising my granddaughter alone. My family of Origen had all died by the time I was 34. I was all alone and yet the underpining was there showing itself in miraculous ways. My true self was untouched.

beautiful stories, thank you…! APPARENTLY it’s our stories of striving, hope and despair that finally brings us home to the place where we see that we’ve always been home, and that our story hasn’t ever had any power whatsoever to take us away from this home that is our very own BEING… such a relief, such a peace…! 🙂

Getting confused by conditioning and beliefs that underlie our thinking also causes suffering.

Recently an old love reentered my life as a result I saw my growth and understanding clearly.
It helped me to move ahead.
Strange how some things just happen and help us to let go.
A form of education.

Hehe
Dvoraji. You won’t believe. But life is endless possibilities and what you can’t imagine I’m detail but manage not to resist (and how does that grace occur anyway?) brings possibilities not imagined to reality.

I had not one but two proposals of marriage in as many days.

It was very strange. I knew one was coming but not the other.

Of course both are exceptional men I feel. One is much younger than I am. So be careful what you ask for lol.

I’ll be planning a wedding. I want my cake from NY and someone will have to bring it cause she doesn’t ship. Wedding. I dunno. In snow. In the rain forest or in Provence.
Details details.
I like tulips. By the hundreds. Small wedding. Maybe at Crescent Lake Lodge in the spring.
But anything can change I’ve learned.
I’ve changed my mind before. If you wanna call it that.
Things just shift.

You tickle me tho. I expect in the near future to hear of interesting changes in your life.

Just when one accepts that nothing changes. Everything does!!
The story of life goes on. Script please..!
Action. Take one!

Marry the younger one – that’s my humble “spiritual advice” goooo young! As far as I’m concerned, I’m actually thinking of changing specie – I’ve proposed to my dog (and I don’t care that she’s a female and yea, she may not be younger, but she runs faster than me and that’s a big plus!

Ok I’ll take your advice!
We have been an ‘item’ for quite awhile.

Both have wonderful senses of humor and well I won’t go into it.
And humors are well mached. Of course we know that all men are trouble right? ‘-)

thanks for the advice. Now if it doesn’t work out I have at least you to blame, right? Giggling
But it’s on for maybe next spring.
